Disney stars took over the stage last night as Miley Cyrus (aka "Hannah Montana"), Demi Lovato (aka Sonny from "Sonny with a Chance") and Joe Jonas (aka Joe Lucas from "Jonas") all belted out tunes that made every tween in America swoon.
Demi and Joe performed their duet “Make A Wave” together for the third time in front of a large audience.Their newest single together is part of a bigger project the two pop icons, along with other Disney stars, have been working on called, Friends for Change: Project Green. The campaign is a green initiative that started last summer in which Disney's stars stress environmental issues encouraging fans to take action. Click below to watch a snipet of their performance:
Along with the two rumored lovebirds, Miley Cyrus also brought the house down with her newest single, "When I Look At You.” The song is from Miley’s upcoming movie “The Last Song,” (the latest Nicholas Sparks book-turned-movie) which comes out on March 31. Miley said on Tuesday night, while mentoring the contestants, that she was nervous to judge them and then mess up in front of them on Wednesday. However, it seems she was pretty comfortable on stage in her long, white, flowing dress while dipping her hair, as a rocker might, to emphasize her song. Her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, was briefly shown sitting in the audience cheering her on. That must have been who she was making all that eye contact with.
But enough about Disney stars. The real (unsurprising) news here, is the fact that Paige Miles is the newest "Idol" reject. Tim Urban, undoubtedly, was a close second to getting the boot. Both were off pitch and corny in their performances. Paige chose a song that was too big for her and Tim awkwardly danced around like he was a puppet on a string. Simon continued his theme of kicking the contestants when they are down, by telling her she had aboslutely no chance of a save. Paige rounded off the night by ending her "Idol" career with the upbeat song, "All Right Now." Unlike in past years, it seems to be easier to predict who will be on the cutting block next. Can we go ahead and just get to the final three?
