Once I stepped foot on the worn marble floors of the college, where many before me had been given their start into the corporate world, I soon realized what I wanted to accomplish with my education. From there, I declared myself a Radio and Television Broadcasting major. I worked hard and long hours recording, producing, and writing in various forms of broadcasting in many different studios. While my passion led me on, I still wasn’t satisfied as I walked down the aisle in my cap and gown and received my Bachelors degree. As I transferred my tassel from the right to the left, I decided then and there that I would continue my adventure within academia.
To begin my Graduate studies, I studied abroad in China. Once there, I worked with government agencies in their various television stations and interviewed the best of the best within the industry. The accomplishments I gathered across the globe helped me to further achieve my short and long term goals, once back in the United States. I accelerated my track of accomplishments in order to graduate within one year of beginning my Masters degree in International Corporate Media. As I once again walked down the aisle to receive my diploma, my look of determination did not fade.
Instead of continuing my hike up the mountain of academia toward the peak of a Doctorate degree, I jumped into the corporate world. Here I am today at the nation’s eleventh biggest newspaper as the Video Traffic Programmer. Each day I am responsible for both quality control and trafficking of all videos running on Newsday.com and its affiliate websites while partnering with internal departments to drive web research and traffic using various search engine marketing. Though I am satisfied with my work everyday, there is a void that still nags at my soul. That void can only be filled with doctrine. This doctrine is found in the scholarly world; more specifically, in the Doctorate program of Organizational Leadership at Argosy University.
For me, the desire to attain a leadership angle to my current portfolio will assist me in my long-term goals of advancing my career to a management position. With this position, comes the need to build and work on a team. The skills of Organizational Leadership will teach you how to transform this team and take it to a whole new level, surpassing previous limits. The online classes that the program offers, fits perfectly with my busy schedule of a full-time job and frequent volunteering within my church. Because the campus is located out of my area, technology still gives me a chance to adhere to my first choice in selecting my educational institution. As a final result, I hope to use this opportunity to further my advancements in the corporate world and use my acquired skills to successfully motivate my colleagues in achieving extraordinary results for years to come.
I love readding, and thanks for your artical.........................................
